Experiential Marketing Spotlight: Dana Joy Lopez
Dana Joy Lopez started working for Kre8 Media on October 2015 as a field promoter (street team) member. She quickly caught on, showing signs of leadership and versatility, that went noticed by all team members including management. Being a quick learner, and very eager to jump into the fire, she was selected for many campaigns. A few of her first campaigns were for America’s Got Talent at the Planet Hollywood Showroom and a main event, boxing match at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Dana has been a tremendous asset and a team player to the Kre8 Media family. She takes great pride in the work she does, is very professional, and truly embodies the characteristics of a superstar. Dana has worked on every type of campaign experiential marketing has to offer from street teams, field promoting, walking billboard campaigns, brand ambassador activations, conventions, model ambassador campaigns, and modeling. She has overcome many difficult challenges from 120 degree heat, freezing cold nights, and the typical adverse Las Vegas weather. Whatever has been asked of her, she has done with the upmost professionalism and a huge smile. It has been awesome to see the growth achieved by Dana during her two and a half years she has been with us, and hopefully much more to come.
Here’s what Dana has to say about her experience working for Kre8 Media in the experiential marketing department.
Tell us a little about yourself.
A Hawaiian native, a loving mother, and a wife to an amazing husband. I originally came from the medical field of 5 years on the marketing side of the industry. I am now grateful to be an employee of Kre8 Media for 2 and a half years.
How did you find out about Kre8 Media?
I found out about Kre8 Media from a close friend who was already working there. She would tell me stories about the variety of campaigns she would work and interesting stories about her workday. Although I was not familiar with what experiential marketing was, and after numerous attempted explanations from my friend, I was sold on her excitement. Little did I know, this great opportunity would soon change my career path and I can proudly say I enjoy being a part of the Kre8 Media family.
What is your favorite part of your current position with Kre8 Media?
One of my favorite things about my job is being able to interact with people traveling from all over the world. It keeps things very interesting and keeps me on my toes. The most enjoyable part of the job is the connections I make with the guests and the impact I make on their overall experience. That is the most rewarding part of this journey.
What keeps you motivated?
My biggest motivation is my family. They are what keeps me moving forward knowing the support I have from them. They are supportive of my career choice, and every other important aspect of my life. They truly attribute to my overall happiness.
Do you have any advice for someone just starting at Kre8 Media (or experiential marketing)?
Some advice I would give anyone first starting with the Kre8 Media family or experiential marketing would be to have an open mind and a positive attitude. It goes a long way.
